The Runner's Shop was started by Dennis and Patricia Lunsford in a small (600 sq. ft.) store at 615 
Mt. Rushmore Rd. in the Black Hills of South Dakota community of Rapid City. From the start we have recieved great support from runners and we are grateful. After 5 years, we expanded our store to 1200 square feet, and after another 5 years expanded to 1800 square feet. After 25 1/2 years in that location, early in 2005 we moved into our own store with 3200 square feet at 41 East Omaha Street. Thanks to our community and their support we continue to grow. We have enjoyed working with the health care professionals in our community as they trust us to get their patients in the correct footwear and supportive insoles.
We carry several high quality brands of running and trail running shoes including Asics, Brooks, Mizuno, Saucony, New Balance, Nike, and Montrail at great prices. Along with our shoes we carry several brands of running and athletic socks including Wigwam, Thorlo, Feetures!, SmartWool, Balega, Wrightsock, and more!
